Dear maintainer(s),

[Snaps are universal Linux packages] [1] that can be installed and run
on many GNU+Linux distributions with ease.  I've been following the
[Snapcrafters] [2] instructions and [have built a working snap on the
Snap Store] [3], you may try it by running the following commands after
[installing snapd] [4]:

    # snap install --channel=edge --devmode nano

I'm also looking forward to working with you to make the packaging work
upstream (if you're interested).  You may want to check out the current
[packaging recipe] [5], the [documentation] [6], registering a developer
account on the [Snap Store] [7], and [get in touch with us] [8] to
transfer the work under your control.

Thanks for your time and attention,

Hey nano developers,

Sorry for the very long delay in the reply.

The CID chain that was updating the nano snap I put on the snap store broke
a while ago I did not had the time to update it.
I am happy to help if I can.

Should I remove the snap from the store or would you like to get control of
the scripts (I am happy to share):

Whatever you decide is your call. Just let me know.

Until I am able to update the nano snap build for arm (sometime in
December) I have made the snap private in the store so it is no longer
accessible.

I'm not interested in getting control over the Raspberry nano snap.

But if you publish a snap, please keep it up to date; otherwise,
just delete it.

Hello,

After discussing with Buo-ren, Lin.

I have arrived to the conclusion that the snap package he is maintaining
covers more architectures than the snap I was maintaining.

For this reason I will delete the pi3nano snap from the store and freeze
the project on Git Hub.

I will also redirect users that land on the github project to the one
maintained by Buo-ren, Lin.

I think is best that users can get the nano snap from the same source.

Hello Buo-ren,
[Snaps are universal Linux packages] [1] that can be installed and run on many
GNU+Linux distributions with ease.  I've been following the [Snapcrafters] [2]
instructions and [have built a working snap on the Snap Store] [3],
It's nice to see an up-to-date snap. But... does your snap identify itself
as "v3.2", not as "GNU nano 3.2"? That "v3.2" is ugly.
I'm also looking forward to working with you to make the packaging work upstream
(if you're interested).
Not interested. I'm not willing to provide any nano binaries. We leave
that work to the distros.

To make it clearer that your snap is not created by the nano maintainers,
please drop the "GNU" from the title and move the "(UNOFFICIAL)" into its
place.
